Well, we are fast approaching 2012 and what a year we had in 2011. Phone hacking by criminal journalists, ( corrupt) senior police officers leaving the met police, riots in London and the UK to name a few…thank god for twitter or there would never be any law and order anywhere! But on a good note, I am looking forward to 2012 and of course the highlight being the Olympic Games coming to London. I also have a book to be launched and also looking to raise funds for a project to make a documentary film for television based on the book. Inspired by the Olympics, 2012 will be a transformational year for me. Using the UK Fire and Rescue Service Aspire Leadership Model, I will incorporate my Motivational Speaking into my union learn project. I have a meeting with TUC union chiefs at the community and trade union learning centre at the Olympic Park in a couple of weeks to discuss my projects and speaking opportunities at the learning centre. Motivational speaking, both for youths and adults is a big passion of mine after firefighting , and what a great opportunity to be doing it at the Olympic Park learning centre in the build up to and during the 2012 London Olympic Games. I will also be discussing promoting my book and my film ( of which I will have the starring role!) so fingers crossed! Another goal for 2012 is to rekindle my fitness levels and I plan to do some 5k races for charity as well. I have just completed a six week programme yesterday organised by my employers, the London Fire Brigade called ” Fit for Life”. This is a stress management and fitness programme for London Firefighters. I enjoyed the programme and looking forward to implementing the action plan I got from the programme immediately. So what are your goals and plans for 2012. Let me know by contacting me here on this website or you can tweet me or facebook me if you like. Well, that’s all for this week so I wish you all a happy, successful new year – enjoy!
